Bedfordshire Festival of Remembrance Concert 2019

Bedfordshire Festival of Remembrance

On Saturday 2nd November 2019 the Bedfordshire Royal British Legion invites you to join with us in our own County "Festival of Remembrance" raising money for the Poppy Appeal.

This year the Legion encourages everyone to "Remember Together" to commemorate the service and sacrifice that many of our friends, Allies, and Commonwealth nations made alongside Britain in defence of its freedoms, values, and the way of life we enjoy today..
At the heart of "Remember Together" are the British, Commonwealth and Allied Armed Forces, the men and women of the resistance, the Secret Service operatives, and the incalculable civilian support that carried us thorough this nations darkest hours.

This year marks the 75th anniversaries of some of the most extraordinary battles in history:  Monte Cassino, Kohima and Imphal, Arnhem through to D-Day and the liberation of Europe.

This year's performance is packed with Music and back by popular demand are the amazing D-Day Darlings who will be taking us through those classic wartime melodies for you to sing along too, with Music from Bedford Brass and the Bedford Pipe band who will entertain you, along with a special tribute from guest appearance from a George Formby tribute to "keeping the home front alive"

We will be joined on the evening by the choir of "Alive and kicking" and the Beds & Herts Army Cadet Corps of Drums, with a cast of 200 this is really going to be a memorable Act of remembrance.

So come along and join with us and "Remember Together" in an evening of Song, prayer and Remembrance with a generation that that contributed to our great nations victory.
