With a flexible stage and optional seating the main Auditorium is the largest of our rooms.
The stage provides a variety of options and its depth can be set anywhere between 4.8m / 16 foot and 8.5m / 28 foot. Risers are also available to set musicians or other performers at differing levels. Depending upon the stage size and the type of seating employed, the Main Auditorium can seat an audience of between 461 and 830.
Three dedicated dressing rooms are available for performers, equipped with toilets and showers; there is also the option of utilising the Miller and Bunyan Rooms as production or green rooms.
For parties, this elegant and romantic room is ideal for between 150 and 400 guests. Typically, stages for DJs would be approximately 8ft by 8ft with the option of a second stage for a band at approximately 24ft by 12ft.
Neo-classical in design, this elegant venue has its own in-built stage suitable for presentations, DJs or bands and a side room / bar, making the Harpur Suite ideal for a range of activities.
The Harpur Suite seats up to 160 guests for cabaret shows or dinners and between 60 to 160 delegates for meetings and conferences.
For more intimate functions, the Howard Room can seat between 40 and 80 guests comfortably in boardroom or cabaret style seating and up to 100 guests in theatre style seating. With its own bar and dedicated dance floor this is the perfect venue for a range of events.
A traditional theatre with its own tiered seating and balcony, The Civic Theatre has a wonderfully authentic atmosphere and boasts a classic Victorian stage which is 8.7m wide x 5.7m deep with rope and wire pulleys.
With a purpose built box office, two dressing rooms and interval bar facilities on request, the Civic Theatre is perfect for a variety of smaller productions and can seat an audience of up to 285. The Civic Theatre is also ideal for meetings and conferences.
These 3 smaller spaces can be set up boardroom or theatre style and can accommodate a maximum of 30 delegates. These rooms can be used for small meetings or as break-out spaces / refreshments areas in conjunction with the larger rooms.

Our in-house bar & catering team offer a wide range of services tailored to the needs of individual clients and their events. A bar and catering service is available for all rooms.
We can provide a bar for almost any function at no cost to the hirer. In-built bars are situated in the Main Auditorium, Howard Room and Harpur Suite and a temporary bar can be arranged in the Civic Theatre (subject to advanced notification).
For a stylish start to any event, we can provide a champagne reception or other reception drinks. We can also supply a wide variety of table wines to accompany your meal.
If you would prefer to provide your own alcohol and/or soft drinks a corkage charge will be levied.
Whether it's for a business meeting or a celebratory dinner, you can be sure that your catering requirements will be fulfilled to the highest standard.
