We are proud to announce that 'Rockney' legends Chas & Dave will be kicking off their final ever tour here at Bedford Corn Exchange on Wednesday March 2nd 2011.
 
Chas & Dave have no less than 8 top 40 hits and 9 best selling albums under their belt since they first broke into the charts with 'Gertcha' in 1979. Other big tracks including 'Snooker Loopy', Margeate, Ain't No Pleasing You and 'Rabbit' cemented their place as the nations light hearted favourites, although the list of people they have influenced proves there is more to this duo than just pub singalong, music-hall humour, boogie-woogie piano and pre-Beatles rock 'n' roll. Perhaps the most influential indie band of the last 10 years The Libertines took them out on tour with and wacky American songstress Tori Amos also frequently covers the bands material!
 
They also recorded four FA Cup final singles for Tottenham Hotspur including "Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur"/"Ossie's Dream" in 1981 and "Tottenham Tottenham" in 1982. The trick obviously worked as Tottenham were victorious in both of these finals.
 
They opened for Led Zeppelin at the 1979 Knebworth Festival^[11] and Chas Hodges has said that one of his proudest moments was playing the Glastonbury Festival in 2005
 
 The duo are back together again for one final time to say goodbye to their loyal legion of fans with this farewell tour, after splitting up a couple of years ago due to the recent death of Dave's wife. Support acts to be announced shortly.
