MOZART Requiem
The celebrated Choir of King’s College, Cambridge makes a special appearance with the Philharmonia to perform Mozart’s beautiful Requiem. Founded in the fifteenth century, the Choir is one of the world’s best known choral groups and will bring their exquisite voices and musicianship to bear on the composer’s final composition, a work imbued with enormous emotional tension. Another work by Mozart, his fiery Haffner Symphony, is performed in the first half alongside Elgar’s graceful Serenade for Strings.
